 What is Colon Hydrotherapy?

Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonic, colonic irrigation or colon cleansing is a gentle and comfortable procedure infusing temperature and gravity controlled filtered water into the colon through a disposable nozzle (a pencil thin rectal tube). The thin nozzle is inserted directly into the rectum (by yourself) to cleanse the contents of the colon.

A colonic may eliminate large amounts of trapped waste that may have taken years to accumulate. It’s a safe and comfortable way to cleanse the body and help eliminate stored fecal matter, gas and toxic substances from the colon (large intestine). The therapeutic effect improves muscle tone and re-stabilizes normal bowel movements enhancing the colons ability to absorb nutrients.

Temperature controlled warm water gently flushes old deposits of mucous and fecal matter that is loosened from the colon wall. The released waste material is seen floating through a glass tube, showing the type and quantity of waste eliminated.

What many people don’t know is that its history dates back to the Egyptians using enemas 1700 B.C. The colon is an organ that absorbs water, nutrients and eliminates waste. Unfortunately, the typical American diet is dangerously depleted in fiber and consists of large amounts of processed foods, fatty foods,  fatty meats, refined sugars and toxic chemicals. Over time, a poor diet and lifestyle can lead to illness and disease. Luckily, our body is designed to heal and regenerate itself. Colon hydrotherapy may help in cleansing the body and aiding in detoxification. Begin the change today.

 What Is The LIBBE System?

The LIBBE system

Here at Blooming Waters, we use the LIBBE system. LIBBE stands for Lower Intestinal Bottom Bowel Evacuation system, and it is a type of ‘open system’ colonic.  It is a modern, state-of-the-art colon hydrotherapy system using filtered and purified temperature-safe water. It is designed so that you can safely have a colonic experience in privacy, inserting a rectal tube (only about the size of a pencil) by yourself and only 2-3 inches in. Water is fed through the tube at a gentle slow-rate via a gravity-fed column.

LIBBE is a safe, easy-to-use patented device, approved by and exceeds the safety standards set by the United States FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and used worldwide in the European Union, Australia, US, Mexico, Canada and other countries. The LIBBE and room are safely disinfected between sessions and the water used is carbon and UV filtered to remove any sediment, rust, or chlorine before it enters your body. An odor exhaust system insures that the session room and entire center remains odor free. There are also three back-flow prevention valves. All rectal tubes are sterilized, individually packaged, disposable and only used once… by you.

What To Expect During Your Session

When you arrive for your appointment you will be asked to complete a client information form. I will also discuss the form and what you hope to accomplish through colon hydrotherapy. I’ll then show you the colon hydrotherapy room. I will give you a gown and let you undress in your own privacy from the waist down and position yourself comfortably on the LIBBE.

You will gently and easily insert a lubricated LIBBE rectal tube in privacy, no more than 2-3 inches. The LIBBE Rectal tube, is the size of a pencil, individually packaged, sterile, for single use, and is properly disposed of after the session. I also have plenty of blankets so you can cover yourself and that privacy is maintained.

Speculum is as thin as a pencil and you only insert 2 – 3 inches in your own privacy.

I will then enter the room and ensure that the water flow is adequate and properly entering.  The water flow will be trickling into you.  It is gentle and can be stopped at any time.  We call it ‘gravity-fed’ because the rate at which it enters the body is solely regulated by gravity.  It is not high pressured water, like some colon hydrotherapy machines, and therefore, in my opinion much safer and gentler. The water is run through a carbon filter and ultra violet purification system, which removes any sediment, rust, or chlorine, before it enters your body. Warm filtered water enters the colon, hydrates, soaks and loosens the waste. Feces release naturally. An odor exhaust system ensures the session room remains odor free, and I have soothing music to help you relax if you like.

To promote the release of accumulated toxic waste matter, a warming pillow is provided and I can provide a light gentle abdominal massage or a hand-held massage device to gently stimulate the colon.I will always be nearby to monitor and provide you with assistance and comfort as needed, or you may ring a bell for assistance. A clear viewing tube allows you to see what comes out during releases. A rinsing sprayer is used to rinse your bottom after the session.

A session lasts approximately 60 minutes but please allow 1.5-2 hours on your first visit and  one hour for your time at the clinic for return visits. Dignity is protected at all times. After each session the LIBBE is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with FDA regulated products.

A view tube allows you to see your digestion process.

On completion you can relax in the waiting room and I will provide you with more information on what you should do post-colonic.
